This is our daughter's second week in preschool. Things went better than we expected last week. She seemed to adjust faster than we expected.
But by Wednesday evening, she had a pretty bad cold with a runny nose, coughing, and feeling bad in general. I noticed on Monday that there was a boy in her class with a bad cough. On Thursday morning, our daughter wasn't eating or drinking at all, most likely because she felt bad from the cold. We decided things might get worse if she wouldn't eat or drink all day at the preschool either, so I took our daughter to my parents-in-law, who were happy to babysit. Our daughter has been more childish and has wanted to be babied more since Wednesday, and she probably took a couple steps back in adjusting to the preschool from missing Thursday.
But in addition, both my wife and I have caught the bad cold/flu that our daughter came down with. I was pretty miserable on Saturday, and really tired yesterday and today.
I guess there's really nothing to do, since most kids go to preschool because the parents have to work or have other committments during the day. But since we are having problems getting our daughter to eat and drink in the first place, I hope things are going to be all right.
