Termite Trouble, part 2

Things have settled down, after everything going on last week. My wife and daughter will be coming back home later today. There are still lots of plastic bags sitting around the house filled with toys, books, children's accessories, or food items, and there are still some plates and food containers to be washed, but we can clean these things up gradually.

The termite fumigators are supposed to tent the garage on Thursday (they said everything needed to be cleared around the garage first), and there is a truckload of contaminated firewood filling up the garage. I've scheduled to have a trash container delivered so that we can fill it up and have it hauled away. The firewood is inside the garage so that the fumigation will kill any termites still inside the wood.

I have to say, my mother has handled the whole thing better than I expected. She is probably closer to her normal state than during her worst periods in the middle of the summer.
